Application Process:
Activity fee will be $35 for both school attendees and staff, and will cover mess, land use, latrines, and the event materials. Cadets and seniors wishing to attend should submit a $35 check made out to “Texas Wing CAP” and their filled out 31a (with medical form) to:

Application must include commander’s signature and parents (if under 18). Senior members should send a 31a as their application as well. In the “activity applying for,” FLTS BASIC, FLTS ADVANCED, or FLTS STAFF should be put. Squadron Commanders should send a safety participation letter to the event email. The $35 fee should be sent with application unless otherwise addressed by the project officer. All attendees must have been trained in OPSEC and have GES along with having a current 101 and CAP ID card in their possession. No exceptions. The taking of the IS 100 & 700 online courses are highly recommended before arrival.


Deadline for all attendee applications is May 5th.
STAFF REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
Senior Members applying for staff should submit an email to texas_flts@yahoo.com with their qualifications and position when applying. They should also mail in a 31a and their fee by the deadline of April 28th.
Cadets wishing to staff, should submit their 31a and send a email to texas_flts@yahoo.com with their qualifications, their grade, their experience, and for which position they would like to be considered. Minimal qualifications to staff include
- Having achieved the grade of C/SSgt
- Be OPSEC trained
- Hold the ratings of GES plus at least 2 (preferably 3) advanced qualifications (GTM, FLM, etc… GES, SET, ICS do not count).
Like senior staff, cadet staff should also send their check by mail for the activity unless given directions otherwise by the project officer. Deadline for cadet staff applications will be April 28th. Check will be discarded or returned if the applicant is not accepted.

Staff Positions To Fill:
1. (Cadet) Medical Officer (1)
- Must have medical experience and be qualified in first aid/cpr
2. (Cadets and one senior) Mission Radio Operators (2)
- Must be MRO qualified and have currently worked as a MRO
- C/2nd Lt Nicholas Schroder is the Communications Officer for the event
3. (Cadet) General Event Staff Assistants (2-3)
- Will be responsible for sign-in and helping with the flow of the activity. This position will be working with the main staff of the activity.
4. (Cadet) Basic Course (GTM3) Assistant Instructors (2)
- Will be working with the Basic Course Instructor
- Must have requirements listed below
5. (Cadet) Advanced Course (GTM2) Assistant Instructors (2)
- Will be working with the Advanced Course Instructor
- Must have requirements listed below
6. (Cadet or Senior) Public Affairs Officer (1)
- Will be responsible for taking pictures and putting together an article to submit to TexasCadet.org and newsletters.
